Our career knowledge, coupled with our metal fabrication and design experience was instrumental in the creation of the Shield’s Dead Center Jig (SDCJ-1) our first product in the Shields Dead Center Assurance Solutions line, engineered to address one of the industry’s problems, finding dead center of bolts whether they are bent, leaning or damaged in any way.
When locating with a rod and prism, mistakes are typically discovered once the RAW data has been sent to the back office for review. This being the case, the crew will need to return to the site to re-survey for accuracy. In this scenario, if the surveying crew were to use the SDCJ-1 the possibility of error is mitigated, before other team members are engaged.
This tool assures you are able to find dead center on a myriad of bolt sizes, precision is tantamount to accuracy as your team surveys down the line. This device is engineered out of 6061 T6 Aluminum, and then packaged with various bolt size adapters to insure you are dead center from the start.
